01

Separate a request from a confirmed appointment

VehicleDesk can accept and organize request-to-book intake, but a public request is not represented as a real-time confirmed booking. Staff review the customer, vehicle, service request, timing, and capacity context before the operational state changes.

02

Keep the customer and vehicle attached

Matching and creation flows keep the relationship record beside the schedule so an advisor can understand prior work, open recommendations, and the reason for the visit.

03

Coordinate the handoff

Appointment work can create or connect tasks and opportunities. Reminders and notification previews remain separate from live customer delivery.

04

Use explicit schedule state

Calendar and workboard controls record the staff decision. Capacity warnings support judgment; they do not promise real-time bay availability or replace the shop's source schedule authority.
